The City of Cornelia has a rich history that you can explore. We have museums such as the Telephone museum, Elvis museum, the lovely Train Depot with actual artifacts, the Community House, the Chenocetah Fire Tower and more.

Captain Wilbanks had to leave his wife Rosemary and children Tommy, Paula, John and Debbie to go to Vietnam in support of the 23rd Ranger Battalion. He was mortally wounded saving the 23rd Ranger Battalion from ambush on February 24, 1967.
The Chenocetah Fire Tower was built by Works Progress Administration and first dedicated on June 7, 1938.
