All persons owning property within the city limits of the City are subject to pay an ad valorem tax each year. The millage rate is set each year by the elected officials. Property tax bills are mailed in the Fall and are due 60 days from date mailed. The current millage rate for this year is 9.5% and taxes are based on 40% of the fair market value.
