Offenses Fines

Fines for some municipal offenses in the City of Cornelia jurisdiction may be paid online. However, attendance in court is mandatory for some cases and fines for such cases cannot be paid online.

Note: If you are unable to locate your citation number online please call the court for further instruction.

Payment Options

Non-mandatory court appearance fines may be paid in person, by phone, or online.

  • If you wish to pay in person you may go to the Cornelia Police Department located at:

    Please Note: All payments requested by phone will be processed online per your request.

If you have questions or are unable to pay your fine online please call the Cornelia Police Department at 706-778-4314. If you have additional questions you may wish to consult with an attorney, attend court on your assigned court date, or call the Department of Driver’s Services.

Fine Due Date

Fines must be paid prior to Noon Eastern Standard Time (EST) on your assigned court date.

Methods of Payments

The acceptable methods of payment are cashier’s check and money order. The check must be made payable to The City of Cornelia and written for the exact fine amount.

If you are paying a regular uniform traffic citation online (Visa or MasterCard only) use your name (in capital letters), date of birth, and driver’s license number.

Notice: If you are under 21 years of age, or you have a commercial driver’s license (C.D.L.), or you have accumulated too many points against your driver’s license, a plea of guilty could result in the suspension or revocation of your driver’s license.
